Chelmsford Mosque is delighted to announce that we will be opening our doors to all members of the public for our open day on Sunday the 12th of February 2017 as part of the national initiative by the Muslim Council of Britain #visitmymosque.

We welcome everyone to come and discover what Chelmsford Mosque is all about. It's a great opportunity to find out more about Islam and also to meet Muslims face to face.  The open day will provide an opportunity to:

  • See what happens behind the doors at the mosques
  • Engage in a discussion with local Muslims and check out the exhibits
  • Enjoy some snacks and refreshments
  • Have Muslims answer any questions you may have
  • Discover how Muslims contribute to society
  • Enhance community relationships
  • Break down barriers and develop friendships

This year will are also collaborating with Farleigh Hospice to raise funds. The Chelmsford Muslim Society has been a supporter of Farleigh Hospice for a number of years along with other local charity organisations and we hope we can raise much needed funds for their invaluable work for the community of Chelmsford, providing much needed support for people affected by life-limiting illnesses and those who have been bereaved. At our last open day in November of 2015 we had over 400 people attend with a lot of positive feedback.  We hope you will take the opportunity to come and join us at the Mosque and can’t wait to welcome you.
